Spiced Swimming

As the ghost of reason

tumbles from my lips

turning tricks with scents of ships

sailing poisonous, golden seas

I wish you would kiss the captain

and dive, entwined with me

lungs bequeathed

to derelict, dismissible dawn

and swim to the bottom

of uncommon decency.

Petal Breeze

Faint flickers of petal dust

strafing, brushing,   a

happenstance dance

between eyes,

Pleasant pink petals

bursting as blooms

yet,   more sweet,  less

look at me, I live.

A foray into sweat

summer day, unkempt.

Leaping once, beyond the startled stream

to splash.

Seasonal Love (Poem)

Enticed by the bangs of autumn,

springtime blushes.

Separated by such intense heat,

the pink leaves are no surprise.

Drifting through a

delayed breeze,

they fail to wither

despite hesitancy.

Blade of grass

and margin of dew

come together

to form turquoise hue.

If summer and winter

were so tensely bound,

ice would not rain

thunder would not sound.
